HHH Philosophy on Breastfeeding The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and World Health Organization (WHO) recommend infants receive human breast milk exclusively for a the first six-months of life, and continue to receive human breast milk to one year of age. The immunological, nutritive, and physiological benefits of human breast milk are invaluable to both infant and mother during the postpartum period and beyond and are unmatched by current infant formulae.
HHH agrees with and supports the AAP and WHO recommendations, but recognizes breastfeeding can be difficult for many women, particularly during the postpartum period. I am here to help you navigate the world of breastfeeding; however, my primary objective is to support you and your family during the postpartum transition, regardless of if or how long you choose to breastfeed.
